During Your Exchange

PantherSoft (MyFIU)

FIU’s records, registration, and student financials operate on PantherSoft (called “MyFIU” for students), a web-based administrative computer system. You will receive log-in credentials and instructions upon acceptance to the ISE program.

PantherMail (student e-mail)

All FIU students (including exchange students!) receive an FIU e-mail address. All FIU communications will come to your FIU e-mail address, including important messages from your professors, campus news, and information about upcoming events. Be sure to check this e-mail regularly, or forward it to another account that you check more often! You will receive log-in credentials and instructions upon acceptance to the ISE program.

Campus life and events

The sky’s the limit for opportunities to get involved at FIU! The Office of Education Abroad (OEA) hosts monthly events for exchange students to meet one another and other FIU students – last semester, we had a coffee shop meet-up, attended a basketball game and baseball game, played games and watched movies together at events! Students will get the events calendar at orientation.

Panthers Around the World (PAW) Representatives are FIU students who volunteer with the OEA. As an ISE student, you can join our buddy program to be paired with a PAW Rep who will be a friend and guide for you at FIU! Your buddy can help you get plugged in on campus.

FIU has student life groups for everyone! You can join a culture club, leadership organization, hobby/interest group, sport league, or service activity. More information about student life groups.

The Office of Education Abroad in cooperation with the Office of International Students and Scholar Services offers a dynamic program of activities that all exchange students can join. Check the ISSS Calendar of Events and enjoy!
